ENCORE FILMS UK IS OVER THE MOON!

Kentucky’s prestigious festival, as its name suggests, is a juried showcase for Christian and faith-based films and media projects founded by legendary Indie horror film pioneer James Bond III. The event takes place in the host city’s Main Street area, where it is making a bid to become a film destination contender with the establishment of the Springfield Bonded Film Complex.

RICHARD MARK – I LOVE YOU TRULY

Springfield’s vibrant downtown district has for many years attracted large, enthusiastic crowds for its community festivals and has now become the beating heart of some extraordinary artistic events. Not least among these attractions is the annual James Bond III Film Festivals.

By the way, Mr Bond – James Bond the Third – does not care one jot whether his favourite drink is shaken or stirred. Either way is just fine!

ON LOCATION – I’LL WALK WITH GOD

And it doesn’t take rocket science, either, to work out that this particular festival springs from the genius of prolific actor/writer/producer/director best known for Contrition, School Daze and the iconic American horror flick Def by Temptation starring Samuel L Jackson.

James Bond III, in fact, founder and CEO of Solid Rock Pictures and the influential boss of the music and video organization Underground Railroad Company, based in Colorado Springs, is a man who has the art of moviemaking coursing through his veins.

“To be in the company of this film sensation,” says Ian Woodward, “is to be under the magic charm of genius. What a pleasure, what a privilege.”

 BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY AWARD

And when, as mentioned earlier, the award nominations came along, there were other nice surprises for the cast and crew associated with Ian Woodward’s award-winning musical I’ll Walk with God.

NOMINATED

BEST LEAD ACTOR IN A FILM SHORT

For his charismatic portrayal of American opera-singer-turned-clergyman Jim Watson – known to his parishioners as the “Singing Vicar” – Norman Bowman was nominated for the award of Best Lead Actor in a Film Short.

NOMINATED

BEST LEAD ACTRESS IN A FILM SHORT

And for her sensitive, deeply moving portrayal of Jim’s dying wife, Emma, Virginia Byron, was nominated for the award of Best Lead Actress in a Film Short.

There were clamorous cheers at the glamorous, red-carpet event when I’ll Walk with God was mentioned from the stage and the names of the film’s Scottish actor and English actress were announced. Some got to their feet and applauded enthusiastically with hands above their heads.

Norman Bowman, star of West End hit musicals including Les Miserables, Mamma Mia! and West Side Story, along with acclaimed comedy and Shakespearean actress Virginia Byron (Olivia in Twelfth Night, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth), both voiced afterwards:

“Wow, did that happen?”

“Yep, well, I think so.”

“What a night!”

“Oh, yes…”

Ian Woodward, so the papers say, was quite happy too.
