TCHAIKOVSKY IN LOVE is adapted from the ballet sequence in Ian Woodward’s full-length film Love Song: The Triumph and Tragedy of Tchaikovsky, recipient of many awards spanning Hollywood to Salzburg. The docudrama reveals for the first time that Tchaikovsky’s popular Romeo and Juliet Love Theme is NOT about a teenage boy and girl in love…not even about a girl. The dance film stars the Serbian National Ballet soloist Lloyd Petchey as the composer and Rowan Shone as his pupil.

ADORATION: A NATURAL HISTORY, a wildlife docudrama by Ian Woodward, FZS, is a portrait of the English countryside seen through the seasons, its fauna and flora and waterways, and through the eyes of Nature Woman. It is accompanied by the filmmaker’s screenplay in verse. Nature Woman, played by London-based Dutch actress Kim May, is the physical embodiment of the film’s imagery and sentiments.

The artistic and historical revelation the film makes has never previously been disclosed on the printed page, on the theatre stage, or on the small or big screens. The filmmaker’s detective work into Tchaikovsky’s fantasy “Romeo and Juliet” meant that for many years he held a secret bombshell: that the world’s most famous Love Theme is NOT about a boy and girl in love…not even about a girl. Too Many Ghosts – “The Death Of Albert” scene
TOO MANY GHOSTS is a fictionalised commentary on the folly of war set in Europe between the last five days of the Second World War and a few days after the end of hostilities. Joe Franklin, a young corporal in Britain’s illustrious 350-year-old East Yorkshire Regiment, is reminiscing about the horrors of war and the mental scars it inflicts on the physically and mentally injured. His story is told against the musical backdrop of England’s great national composer, Sir Edward Elgar, with poetry by some of the country’s great war poets and specially-composed verse by the filmmaker.
